Larry’s 40+ year career has been focused on the design, development and deployment of real-time supervisory control, information management (SCADA) and advanced operational applications for water and electric utilities as well as the oil & gas pipeline industries worldwide. After graduating Electronics Engineering Technology (Hons) from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Larry spent 6 years in the electric utility industry before extending into the oil & gas upstream and midstream business. Acquired first by Sentrol, then by Valmet in 1986, Larry held various project, engineering, R&D and management assignments including an International Executive Business Program at the IMD School of Business in Lausanne, Switzerland. After a name change from Valmet to Metso Automation, the company was acquired in 2003 by the global real-time IT company Telvent. At Telvent, Larry held several senior management roles including Vice President, Marketing and Technology responsible for software development and product management and finally as SVP Global O&G Business. With the acquisition of Telvent by Schneider Electric in 2011, Larry assumed the role of SVP O&G Pipeline Applications in Schneider Electric’s Global Software Business until 2017.
