Alejandro Garcia

Alejandro Garcia is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at San Jose State University, where employment began in August 1989 and continues to the present. In addition to academic responsibilities, Alejandro holds the position of Participating Guest Scientist at Berkeley Lab since January 1998, focusing on algorithms for simulating fluids at molecular scales. A sabbatical leave in 2011 led to a role as a Physics Consultant at DreamWorks Animation, contributing until the studio's closure in January 2015. Previously, Alejandro served as a Senior Educator at ACME Animation from 2004 to January 2009. Alejandro earned a PhD in Physics from The University of Texas at Austin between 1979 and 1984.
