Aliyah Kovner

Aliyah Kovner is an experienced science writer and podcast producer with a strong background in medical writing and editorial work. Currently, Aliyah serves as a Science Writer and Podcast Producer at Berkeley Lab since January 2019. Previously, Aliyah worked at IFLScience and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, specializing in summarizing peer-reviewed medical research and producing multimedia content. Aliyah also held editorial positions at Sierra Magazine and Imperial College London, covering various scientific topics. Aliyah's early career included a role as a Quality Assurance Specialist at BioMarin and a research position for a National Geographic Channel production. Aliyah holds a Master's degree in Science Media Production from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
