Asmita Patel

Asmita Patel currently serves as the Deputy Division Director of Operations for the Accelerator Technology and Applied Physics Division at Berkeley Lab, a position held since June 2014. Previously, Asmita Patel worked at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a Senior Administrator and Program Administrator from January 2010 to June 2014. In 2009, Asmita Patel volunteered in community service, and from 1997 to 2009, held various leadership roles at Bio-Rad, ultimately becoming the Director of Strategy and Business Management after starting as a Senior Product Manager. Earlier experience includes serving as a Global Product Manager at Amersham Pharmacia BioTech from 1993 to 1997. Asmita Patel earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Riverside, and completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Molecular Biology at UC Santa Barbara.
