Ben Brown

Ben Brown is an experienced academic and researcher currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor and formerly as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley since October 2014. In addition, Ben Brown has been a Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since September 2013, holding titles such as Division Deputy for Science and Department Head of Molecular Ecosystem Dynamics. Ben Brown previously held the position of Professor and Chair of Environmental Bioinformatics at the University of Birmingham from June 2016 to June 2019. The research focus of Ben Brown’s lab involves linking genome dynamics to ecosystem functions, striving to illuminate how genetic information translates into complex, responsive biological systems. Education was completed at the University of California, Berkeley.
