Bob Jacobsen has an extensive background in physics and engineering, with a career spanning several prestigious institutions. Currently a Developer at JMRI since 2001, Bob also serves as a Professor of Physics and Dean of Undergraduate Studies at UC Berkeley, where involvement began in 1995. Additionally, Bob has been a Senior Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since 1994. Previous experience includes a role as a Developer at OpenLCB from 2007 to 2015. Bob Jacobsen earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University (1986-1991) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1974-1978).
