Christoph Steier

Christoph Steier is the Beam Physics and Commissioning Manager for the ALS-U Project at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, a role they have held since 2023. Previously, they served as the Accelerator Systems Manager and Deputy Group Leader of the ALS Accelerator Physics Group, contributing significantly to various commissioning projects at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and Berkeley Lab. With expertise in nonlinear transverse dynamics, accelerator lattice design, and beam stability, they have been instrumental in numerous upgrades and strategies aimed at improving accelerator performance. Christoph has also shared their knowledge through teaching roles at several universities, including UC Berkeley and Universität Bonn.
