Cian Dawson

Cian Dawson is a hydrologist with over 20 years of experience in government, non-profits, and private industry, and over 30 years of expertise in science communication, training, and technology transfer. They currently serve as the User and Outreach Lead at Berkeley Lab's Energy Sciences Network (ESnet), where they focus on building scientific communities and enhancing collaboration within the U.S. Department of Energy. Previously, Cian held various roles, including a Hydrologist at the USGS and a Science Education Specialist at Brown University. They have demonstrated leadership in applied research and event management, notably designing and implementing a successful user conference for ESnet. Cian is pursuing an MSc at the University of Connecticut and holds a degree from Brown University.
