Cindy Regnier, PE, PEng, LEED AP, currently serves as the Executive Director of FLEXLAB and the Whole Building Systems Department Head at Berkeley Lab, a position held since 2009. In this role, Cindy manages complex, multi-discipline energy efficiency research projects that focus on integrated solutions for whole building retrofits and new construction at the Facility for Low Energy eXperiments in Buildings. Previously, Cindy worked as an Associate Engineer at Integral Group from 2003 to 2009, where Cindy managed award-winning projects in HVAC design for various commercial and educational sectors. Earlier experience includes positions as Senior Engineer at CB Consulting Engineers, where Cindy led low energy and LEED-certified designs, and as an Engineer at Bechtel, focusing on environmental upgrades for smelter facilities. Cindy holds a B.Sc.Eng. degree in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University, obtained between 1990 and 1994.
