Daniel Udwary is a seasoned computational biologist specializing in secondary metabolism and bioinformatics, with extensive experience in academic and industry research. Currently serving at Berkeley Lab since April 2015, Daniel has also held positions as a senior scientist at Warp Drive Bio and assistant professor at the University of Rhode Island, where responsibilities included teaching courses in medicinal chemistry and bioinformatics. Previous research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the University of Arizona focused on enzyme chemistry, microbial genomics, and protein chemistry.
