David Tench is the 2023 Grace Hopper Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley Labs, where they focus on developing memory-hierarchy-aware algorithms to handle large datasets efficiently. Prior to this, David was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Computer Science at Stony Brook University and held NSF CIFellows positions at Rutgers University. They earned a PhD and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Lehigh University. David’s research interests include graph algorithms, randomized algorithms, and the application of theoretical concepts to real-world challenges.
