Dinesh Kumar is a highly experienced research scientist with a strong background in mechanical engineering. Currently at Berkeley Lab since May 2014, Dinesh has contributed significantly by developing a Non-uniform FFT solver for micro tomographic reconstructions as a project scientist and computational postdoctoral fellow. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University, where a prototype for non-rigid registration of CT images was developed, and earlier roles at the University at Buffalo, contributing to the simulation of geophysical flows. Dinesh's professional journey began as a junior software engineer at ASPEED Software, focused on developing software tools for non-linear mathematical equations, following several years as an engineer in the process engineering department at Denso Haryana Pvt Ltd. Dinesh holds a PhD and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, along with a BE from Regional Engineering College, Silchar.
