Drew P. is currently serving as the User Experience Research Lead in the Scientific Data Division at Berkeley Lab, leading significant projects such as STRUDEL and the High Performance Data Facility. In addition, Drew holds a position as a Community and Travel Funds Committee Member for US Research Software Engineer Association and is a founding co-chair of its User Experience Working Group. Previous roles include Lead User Experience Researcher for Google Cloud and Senior User Experience Researcher at Berkeley Lab, where Drew conducted strategic qualitative research to enhance scientific data computing ecosystems. Drew's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
