Eric Masanet is a Professor and the Mellichamp Chair of Sustainability Science for Emerging Technologies at UC Santa Barbara, where they lead the Industrial Sustainability Analysis Laboratory. Previously, Eric served as an Associate Professor at Northwestern University and held various positions, including Staff Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Head of the Energy Demand Technology Unit at the International Energy Agency. Eric has contributed to climate change research as a lead author for the IPCC and has advised multiple organizations on industrial energy efficiency and sustainability. Currently, Eric is actively involved in several advisory roles and continues to innovate in energy technology analysis to support a transition to sustainable systems.
