Frances Houle

Frances Houle is a physical chemist and the Thrust Lead at the Center for High Precision Patterning Science. With extensive experience in technical R&D program design and management, they focus on energy science and technology, particularly in nanoscale modifications. Frances has held key positions at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, including Director of Strategic Initiatives and Department Head of the Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis. They are also the Principal at Columbia Hill Technical Consulting, providing expertise in materials chemistry and characterization. Frances earned a PhD in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology and a BA in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine.
