Garrett Pohlman is a founding engineer and electrochemical engineer at Aepnus Technology, where Garrett successfully deployed the company's first-generation pilot plant for third-party validation. At Berkeley Lab, Garrett actively contributes as a research affiliate within the Haddad Group, focusing on electrochemical experiments for flow capacitive deionization (FCDI) devices. Additionally, Garrett co-founded TENTMAKERS INC. and initiated the Tiny House Building Academy, aimed at workforce development through tiny home construction. As THIMBY project manager at Sustainable Housing at California, Garrett leads efforts to design innovative small living solutions. Garrett has also held leadership positions in various student organizations and participated in projects involving biodiesel production and regenerative fuel cell systems during an internship at NASA Glenn Research Center.
