Grace Anderson

Graduate Student Research Assistant

Grace Anderson is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Currently a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Berkeley Lab since January 2020, Grace conducts solid-state microelectrode measurements to study thermodynamic properties of perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) and anion exchange membranes. Previous experience includes an undergraduate research assistant position at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where Grace characterized catalysts for alkaline water electrolysis, and a computational modeling role at the Colorado School of Mines focused on metal organic framework structures for hydrogen storage. Grace has also served as a tutor and participated in research internships that provided exposure to zeolite membranes and graphene synthesis for battery applications.
