Hang Chang

Hang Chang is a Staff Scientist and Principal Investigator at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they develop a computational platform for multidimensional profiling of phenotypic responses and the identification of subpopulations based on micro-environmental cues and genetic events. They have extensive experience in high performance computing, image processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning applied to computational biology. Hang's career at Berkeley Lab began as a Project Scientist from 2008 to 2012, and they have served as a Research Scientist since 2012. Hang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Automation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. in computer vision and pattern recognition from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
