Hans Johansen

Hans Johansen is a highly experienced research scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since September 2009. Previously, Hans held leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase as Chief Architect of Global Infrastructure and Chief Architect from April 2006 to August 2009. At Washington Mutual, Hans served as Principal Architect for both eCommerce and Retail and the Home Loans Division from 2002 to April 2006. Earlier career positions include Senior Consultant at Random Walk (now Accenture Capital Markets), Senior Development Manager at Esurance, and Consultant & Researcher at Accenture. Hans began academic contributions as a researcher at UC Berkeley from 1990 to 1997, with a brief tenure as a guest researcher at INRIA, France, in 1993. Hans holds both a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
