Ibrahim Elsharkawy is a doctoral researcher at Berkeley Lab, with a focus on innovative applications of artificial intelligence in geophysics, particularly in seismic parameter estimation and anomaly detection, gained during an internship at ExxonMobil. Previous experience includes research and teaching assistance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, work as a research geophysicist intern at PGS, and involvement in particle physics research at Rice University.
