Igor Grigoriev

Igor Grigoriev is currently the Program Head of Fungal and Algal Genomics at the Joint Genome Institute at Berkeley National Laboratory, a position held since 2009. They have served as a Senior Scientist at Berkeley Lab since 2017 and contributed to the Genome Annotation Group as a leader from 2003 to 2009. Igor's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Research Institute of Genetics of Industrial Microorganisms and a B.S./M.S. in Biophysics from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI. Their experience includes roles at the University of California, Berkeley, and Pfizer as a Bioinformatics Scientist.
