Jay Keasling

Jay Keasling is a Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and has served as a Senior Faculty Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since 1992. Since 2007, Jay has also been the Chief Executive Officer of the Joint BioEnergy Institute. They completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Biochemistry at Stanford University School of Medicine and earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
