Jay Krous

Jay Krous has over two decades of experience in the field of cyber security and computer systems engineering. Currently serving as the Group Lead for Cyber Security at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since 1999, Krous leads a team of security engineers to safeguard the organization against cyber threats. Previous roles include identifying and leading projects to mitigate computer security risks as a Computer Systems Engineer in Cyber Security, and providing desktop support to the Life Sciences and Physical Biosciences divisions. Earlier experience includes working as a Windows Security Consultant at Megamind, where Krous taught Microsoft Windows Security classes, and as a Network Engineer at NSLC Pacific, supporting a global user network. Krous holds an MBA in Finance and Management from the University of California, Davis, along with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from San Francisco State University and an A.S. in Computer and Information Systems from Solano Community College.
