Jérôme Deshaies

Jérôme Deshaies is a doctoral researcher at Laboratoire Nanotechnologies Nanosystèmes - LN2, focusing on enhancing infrared detection efficiency of infrared photodetectors through the use of a flexible Germanium membrane. As an affiliated researcher at Berkeley Lab, Jérôme is involved in low-temperature silicon homoepitaxial growth for SPAD applications in fundamental physics. Previously, Jérôme served as project director for the EspressUS espresso machine project with Intelli Espresso and held roles as an undergraduate research assistant and CAD designer at Berkeley Lab and Zoobox, respectively. Jérôme has also contributed to process improvement projects at Meubles South Shore. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, all from Université de Sherbrooke.
