Jiannan Wang

Jiannan Wang is a Senior Scientific Engineer Associate at Berkeley Lab since February 2018, with concurrent roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Wang's expertise includes high-resolution chirp inversion and sub-bottom profiler data interpretation, particularly relating to hydrographic mapping of the EPG fault zone and assessing historical earthquakes in Haiti. Previously, experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Houston and the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on geodynamic modeling and geodesy. Additional research at China Earthquake Administration involved borehole strain measurement and finite element method modeling. Jiannan Wang holds a PhD in Geophysics from the University of Houston, an MS in Geophysics from the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a BS in Geophysics from China University of Geosciences (Beijing).
