John Wu

John Wu is an accomplished Senior Computer Scientist at Berkeley Lab since April 1997, leading research in data management, analysis, and scientific computing while engaging with funding agencies for strategic research input. Previously, John held roles as a Staff Computer Scientist and Computer Systems Engineer, where notable achievements included designing algorithms and developing an award-winning query engine for high-energy physics data analysis. In addition to contributions at Berkeley Lab, John serves as a Board Director at Global AI, focusing on promoting financial stability through big data techniques. John's early career involved positions as a Software Engineer at Guidant and a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, complemented by an internship at Cray Research Inc. John earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 1997.
