Joshua Cates is a highly qualified nuclear engineer with extensive experience in research and academia. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since July 2018, Joshua has previously held roles as an Instructor and Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine from September 2013 to July 2018. Prior to that, Joshua gained valuable experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee from August 2009 to August 2013, and completed internships at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2008 and 2009. Joshua earned a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where education spanned from 2005 to 2013.
