Katie Carney

Katie Carney is an experienced communications and veterinary professional with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as an Executive Communications Specialist at Berkeley Lab since December 2021, Katie provides strategic communications support to leadership and leads initiatives related to women’s issues and mental health. Prior to this role, Katie worked in veterinary services and marketing in various companies, including East Bay Veterinary House Calls and C3 Communications, where skills in client communication, marketing, and event planning were developed. With a BS in International Studies from The Johns Hopkins University and specialized certifications in veterinary medicine and feline behavior, Katie combines expertise in both communication and animal care, actively contributing to both fields.
