Lei Pan

Lei Pan is a skilled researcher and consultant specializing in nuclear engineering and radiological imaging. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Berkeley Lab since January 2023, Lei Pan has developed machine learning algorithms to enhance imaging techniques for nuclear threat detection. Previously, as a Technical Consultant at Actinia, Inc., from September 2021 to January 2023, Lei Pan created testing platforms and quality assurance workflows for perovskite materials and gamma-ray detectors. A former Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern University, Lei Pan directed research on perovskite semiconductor detectors and mentored junior researchers. Academic training includes a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from The Ohio State University, where Lei Pan also contributed significantly to research on novel detector development and characterization methodologies.
