Lien Ngo is a seasoned program manager and leader in materials science with extensive experience in strategic and operational roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Program Manager for the Materials Science Division at Berkeley Lab since April 2024, Lien previously held the position of Director of Program Management R&D and R&D Program Manager at Atomwise from January 2021 to January 2024. At UKRI-Innovate UK, from June 2016 to February 2020, Lien led the Advanced Materials program, successfully managing a £30M graphene initiative and developing multi-million-pound strategies and proposals. Earlier roles included Lead Technologist and Technologist at Innovate UK, as well as Technology Manager at PhosphonicS and Senior Applied Research Scientist at P2i. Lien has a strong educational background, holding a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Washington and a BA in Chemistry from Reed College.
