Liyang Wang

Liyang Wang is a Senior Research Associate in the Earth & Environmental Sciences Area at Berkeley Lab, where responsibilities include integrating climate data into energy system planning, developing an uncertainty decomposition framework to assess climate impacts on energy infrastructure, and supporting the creation of energy equity metrics. Previously, in the Energy Technologies Area at Berkeley Lab, Liyang Wang focused on accelerating the adoption of energy-efficient and renewable technologies, evaluating high-impact innovations, and understanding solar PV system failures. Prior roles include Energy Efficiency Consultant at NSTAR (now Eversource Energy) and Engineering Intern at National Grid. Liyang Wang holds a PhD and an MS in Energy & Resources Group from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
