Lydia Rachbauer

Research Scientist - Environmental Biotechnology And Microbial Communities at Berkeley Lab

Lydia Rachbauer is a Project Scientist at Berkeley Lab since October 2019, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Lydia has extensive experience as a Senior Researcher at BEST - Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH from September 2012 to June 2022, where contributions included strategic development in the Bioconversion and Biogas Systems division, securing research funding, and developing industrial collaborations for diverse projects. Rachbauer also held lecturer positions at FH Campus Wien, Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt, and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, covering various programs in bioprocess technology and resource management. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Environmental Biotechnology and a Master's degree in Biotechnology, both from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.
