Manfred Auer

Manfred Auer is a highly experienced professional in the field of biophysics, currently serving as the Cellular & Tissue Imaging Department Head and Deputy of the Molecular Biophysics & Integrated Bioimaging Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since 2004. Additionally, Auer acts as Program Lead for Mesoscale BioImaging Technologies and holds multiple roles as Staff Scientist across various departments at LBNL and the Joint BioEnergy Institute. Auer's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biophysics from The Rockefeller University and New York University, as well as a Diploma in Biochemistry from Leibniz Universität Hannover. Auer has also been associated with esteemed institutions such as the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory.
