Mark Miller

Mark Miller is a highly experienced bioinformatics professional with a diverse career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Staff Software Developer at Berkeley Lab since March 2021, Mark also holds the position of Principal at Phaseolus Consulting, specializing in informatics, data integration, and visualization with a focus on gene expression, pathway analysis, and metagenomics. Previous roles include Biomedical Ontologist at the University of Pennsylvania, where Mark authored and applied ontologies for biobanks, and Bioinformatics Application Consultant & Product Manager at Instem, where contributions included the development of genomic analysis components for safety assessments. Earlier experiences include significant positions at DuPont, Merck, The University of Pennsylvania, and The Wistar Institute, covering areas from immunotoxicology to comparative genomics.
