Mark Scott

Mark Scott is an experienced professional in electrical engineering and safety management, currently serving as the Electrical Projects Department Head at Berkeley Lab since September 2011, where responsibilities include directing over $500 million in electrical infrastructure projects and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Previously, Mark held roles as the Electrical Projects Director and Electrical Safety Program Manager at Berkeley Lab, overseeing significant utility revitalization projects and developing key safety programs. Prior experience includes roles at Vestas Wind Systems, focusing on global safety standards and electrical safety programs, and at Weyerhaeuser, supervising electrical maintenance teams. Mark began a career in the US Navy as a Submarine Officer, gaining valuable leadership experience. Mark holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
