Max Sherman

Max Sherman is an expert researcher in building science, with a focus on ventilation, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency. They retired as a Senior Scientist from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they served as the Principal Investigator on various projects related to residential buildings. Currently, Max is a Distinguished Lecturer at ASHRAE and an Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham, specializing in health and energy implications of indoor air quality. As a principal at EPB Consulting Group, they provide forensic engineering and expert services related to building science. Max holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in Chemistry from UCLA.
