Maxime Bergeret

Maxime Bergeret is a Mechanical Engineer with a robust background in high-stakes projects within esteemed research institutions. At Berkeley Lab since June 2019, Maxime leads the design and construction of soft X-ray beamlines for the ALS-U Project, managing a team of six and overseeing $3.5M in vendor procurements. Previously at CERN from June 2016 to May 2019, contributions included the design and construction of 16 collimators for the Large Hadron Collider, where Maxime validated designs and led a significant experiment with a diverse team. Initial experience as a Mechanical Engineer Trainee at CERN in 2015 involved critical experiments regarding beam-induced loads, where Maxime developed explicit finite element analysis (FEA) models. Maxime holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Centrale Lyon and an International Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.
