Mike Martin has over 25 years of experience in the field of physics, currently serving as the Photon Science Operations Group Leader and Senior Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since June 1997. Martin's research focuses on the ALS Infrared Beamlines, collaborating on diverse projects utilizing this facility. Prior to Berkeley Lab, Martin worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher at the University of California at Berkeley, contributing to STM development and research on carbon nanomaterials, and served as a Post Doctoral Physicist at Brookhaven National Laboratory in the Neutron Scattering Group. Martin earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Stony Brook University and a B.S. in Physics from UC San Diego.
