Mohammed Ombadi, PhD, currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering at the University of Michigan, where leadership of the Hydro-climatic Extremes, Impacts and Data Analytics (HEIDA) Lab occurs. In addition, Mohammed Ombadi holds an appointment as an Affiliate Professor at Berkeley Lab, where previously, from June 2021 to June 2023, the role of Postdoctoral Scientist in the Climate and Ecosystem Sciences Division was undertaken. Prior experience includes positions as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Khartoum. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Irvine, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
