Nan Zhou

Nan Zhou is a Senior Scientist at the Energy and Resources Group of the University of California, Berkeley, and has held the position of Senior Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since April 2007. Zhou serves as Co-Chair of the Academic Advisory Committee of the California-China Climate Institute and has led significant initiatives like the Net Zero World Action Center. With extensive experience in energy analysis and environmental challenges, Zhou has managed teams at Lawrence Berkeley, focusing on substantial research in energy efficiency and low carbon solutions, particularly in emerging economies such as China and India. Academic contributions include being a Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's 6th Assessment Report and various faculty positions at Japanese universities. Zhou holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from Kyushu Sangyo University and multiple degrees in architecture and engineering.
