Nathan Millard

Nathan Millard is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in engineering and design across various industries. Currently, Nathan is employed at Berkeley Lab as a Mechanical Engineer since July 2020. Prior to this position, Nathan worked at Varian Medical Systems for over twelve years as a Mechanical Designer, focusing on the design of sheet metal components for tooling assemblies and ensuring structural integrity through Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Earlier experience includes a role as a Research and Development Engineer at Alan Ritchey Incorporated, where Nathan contributed to the automation of facility processes, and as an Associate Partner at Millard and Sons Painting and General Contracting, managing remodeling projects. Nathan holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University Maritime Academy.
