Nichole Hanus

Nichole Hanus is a Policy Researcher in the Energy Markets & Policy Department at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where involvement in the Reliability & Resilience Group began in December 2019. Prior to this role, Nichole served as a Project Scientist and Consultant at Energy and Environmental Economics, Inc., focusing on the electrification of the building and transport sectors. Nichole's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, where research included commercial building investment decisions and distributed generation viability. Experience also includes roles at ETH Zürich, Sieben Energy Associates, Samsung Electronics America, and the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, showcasing a robust foundation in energy engineering and policy research.
