Dr. Peter Ercius is a Staff Scientist at the National Center for Electron Microscopy (NCEM) within the Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. They received a Ph.D. in applied and engineering physics from Cornell University in 2009, focusing on three-dimensional electron tomography of integrated circuits. After serving as a collaborative postdoctoral fellow at NCEM, they were hired as a Staff Scientist in 2011, where they lead research on the TEAM 0.5 instrument, one of the world's most powerful transmission electron microscopes. Dr. Ercius specializes in electron microscopy techniques, including atomic electron tomography and aberration correction.
