Robert Hosbach is an experienced data scientist currently working at Berkeley Lab since May 2014, developing analytical methods and numerical models in Python and R to address complex energy policy issues. Previous roles at Berkeley Lab include Senior Scientific Engineering Associate and Scientific Engineering Associate, focusing on appliance efficiency standards and miscellaneous electrical loads. Prior to this, Robert worked at the Schatz Energy Research Center, testing off-grid lighting products and collaborating with organizations such as the World Bank/IFC. Robert began a career in construction as a laborer, also serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Humboldt State University and a Resident Advisor at Cal Poly.
