Rory Schmick

Rory Schmick is an accomplished Energy Policy Researcher at Berkeley Lab, focusing on energy management practices and policies for performance improvement and decarbonization. With extensive experience as a Senior Advisor at Stillwater Energy, Rory has provided executive leadership support and developed strategic energy management programs across North America. Previously, as an Oregon Sustainability Board member, Rory oversaw state agency sustainability plans, and as the Director of Sustainability and Environmental Affairs at Pacific Foods, Rory developed corporate sustainability programs that significantly improved environmental performance. Earlier roles include an Associate Principal leading client operations in energy management and Program Manager for the International Sustainable Development Foundation, where Rory developed training programs for Chinese government officials. Rory holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Colorado Boulder.
