Samuel Barber is a highly experienced physicist with a strong background in research and development in the field of particle accelerators. Currently a Physicist Research Scientist at Berkeley Lab since November 2015, Samuel has previously held roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant at UCLA's department of physics. Samuel's research focuses on innovative electron accelerator concepts, including plasma wakefield and dielectric wakefield acceleration. Prior experience includes work as a Research Associate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where Samuel led projects to enhance metrology capabilities for optical systems. Samuel holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Physics, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Astrophysics from UCLA.
