Shiyi Wang is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Energy Conversion Group of the Energy Storage & Distributed Resources Division at Berkeley Lab, focusing on multiscale modeling of PEM fuel cells to address real-life challenges. Prior to this role, Shiyi Wang served as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder from August 2015 to November 2021, where research involved investigating the oxygen reduction reaction at Pt and Pt-based nanocatalysts, studying biological-nanostructured interfaces, developing force field parameters for gas molecule simulations, and examining interfacial regions of immiscible fluids. This work included collaboration with researchers from over five institutions globally and frequent presentations at seminars and conferences. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology.
