Sinead Griffin is a highly experienced professional currently serving as the Scientific Deputy Director for the Materials Sciences Division at Berkeley Lab, alongside roles as a Career Staff Scientist and Career-track Staff Scientist since January 2019. In addition, Sinead has been a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Connecticut since 2020 and has mentored at ASESMA since 2010. Previous experience includes postdoctoral roles at UC Berkeley/Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and ETH Zurich, as well as doctoral studies at ETH Zurich. Sinead holds a PhD in Physics from ETH Zurich, an MS in Materials from UC Santa Barbara, an MSc in Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces from Imperial College London, and a BA Mod (hons) in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin.
