Spencer Klein

Spencer Klein is a Senior Scientist and Staff Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, holding this position since May 1994. Prior to this role, Spencer was a Postgraduate Researcher at UC Santa Cruz, where work focused on the CYGNUS and MILAGRO cosmic-ray air shower detectors, including the design of electronics for the MILAGRO detector. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant Professor and Research Associate at Boston University, contributing to the MACRO project at the Gran Sasso Laboratory in Italy, and designing fast sampling electronics for liquid scintillator detectors. Spencer Klein earned a PhD in Physics from Stanford University between 1982 and 1988 and completed a BA in Physics at the University of California, San Diego from 1979 to 1981.
