Stefan Wild is the Director of the Applied Mathematics and Computational Research Division at Berkeley Lab. They previously served as a Senior Computational Mathematician and held several leadership roles at Argonne National Laboratory from 2020 to 2022. Currently a Senior Fellow at the Northwestern Argonne Institute of Science and Engineering, they have also been a Fellow at the University of Chicago’s Computation Institute from 2010 to 2016. Their academic background includes a PhD in Operations Research from Cornell University and an MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
